Entanglements: A Conference on the Intersections of Poetry, Science, and Art, a national and international conference convened by Associate Professor and Poet-in-Residence Amy Catanzano at Wake Forest University, won the Humanities Institute’s 2019 Reynolda Conference Award funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Entanglements brings together a diverse range of leading scientists, literary scholars, poets, and artists whose work engages with transdisciplinary investigations into shared principles, methodologies, and practices in contemporary literature, science, and art. The conference will provide three full days of academic scholarship, conversation, and creative practice as well as public poetry readings, intermedia performances, and a keynote scholarly lecture.

About the Reynolda Conference
The Reynolda Conference, awarded by the Humanities Institute at Wake Forest University, is funded by a grant for Engaged Humanities from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The Reynolda Conference competitive grant offers faculty $20,000 to hold a three- to five-day seminar on a humanities topic of their choice. The grant award supports travel, lodging, and stipends for invited scholars of the conference planner’s choosing, as well as stipends for participating WFU and Triad area scholars.
